Abe Hefter is long-time radio broadcaster who has covered sports in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, with stops as Sports Director at the Canadian Press news agency in Toronto, and sports anchor/reporter at CKNW Vancouver. His reporting assignments have taken him to the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Pan-Am Games, Stanley Cup Finals, Grey Cup, and Major League Baseball Playoffs. Since 2002, he has been at CJAD Radio in Montreal, where he is a sports anchor, reporter and show host. Abe also spent five years in the Public Affairs office at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. A graduate of Sir George Williams University (DEC) and McGill University (B.A.), Abe is a Jazz and Blues fan, and plays a pretty mean guitar.
At the Centre for Continuing Education, Abe’s philosophy on teaching is simple:
