Why should I take English as a Second Language?

If you get along fine in Montreal with few English skills, you may think that you don’t need to improve your English. But the English you need to live in a multicultural city like Montreal may not get you into a university program or the job you want or need.

ESL courses help students whose first language is not English succeed in school and at work.

The Centre for Continuing Education offers both Written and Conversational English as a Second Language courses. If you have trouble understanding spoken or written English, or other people have trouble understanding you, these short, practical classes could be exactly what you need.

Each program is just 10 weeks long and Professionals can also benefit from these programs that make them more comfortable in an English language work environment.

There is also a full-time Intensive English program designed to help students get into the university program of their choice. For more information, check out the certificate and program links at left.
