If I complete a Language or other course at the Centre for Continuing Education, what kind of recognition will I receive? What if I want to take a Language course for academic credit?
At the Centre for Continuing Education, a Certificate or Diploma is issued upon completion of a program. In addition, each completed course will appear on the student’s transcript, as will each certificate or diploma that has been awarded.
If you take a language program with us, a Certificate of Proficiency is awarded upon the successful completion (60%) of the highest level of the program. A Certificate of Proficiency with Distinction is awarded to students who obtain a grade of 75% or more upon completion of the highest level in a second language program.

If you are interested in taking academic credit language courses you can take them through Concordia University. Unlike the Centre for Continuing Education, students must apply and meet admission requirements in order to be accepted for credit courses at the University.
