Beverly Cornell recently wrote a great blog post on her blog ‘A Slice of Mango Languages’ on 10 common misconceptions of language learning.

Some of the misconceptions she covers in her blog post include:

  • People generally believe that only children can learn second languages quickly and easily.
  • Generally, people believe the younger the child, the more skilled he or she will be in acquiring a second language.
  • Many people think that we all learn a second language in the same way.
